Your privacy is very important to us, so we do our utmost to protect it.
To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on every page on our site.
The type of information we collect depends on whether you are a visitor to our site, a subscriber to our newsletter, or a customer of our products.
We collect no personally identifiable information about you when you merely browse our web site. We do acquire technical information such as your IP address in order to perform statistical analysis of access to our site, such as the total numbers of visitors per day. This "raw" information is held securely, is never shared with third parties, and is automatically destroyed after 7 days.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we ask you for your email address, which we put in a list of subscribers, so we can send it to you. We do not use this list for any other purpose, nor do we share the list with anyone. You may remove your address from the list by sending an email to MailingListLeave@thebeadman.net; you will receive no further newsletters at the email address provided.
When you buy a product from us, we request information so we can complete the purchase. This information includes your name, address, email address, phone number and payment information (credit/debit card details).
We do not use this information for any other purpose, nor do we share the information with any third party except where necessary to complete the purchase. For example, we provide your credit card information to our bank to obtain payment and we provide your address to our shippers so they can deliver to you.
We keep your personal information on our web site only as long as needed to complete the transaction (normally a few minutes). We keep the general personal information in our off-line records as long as required to meet accounting standards. In particular, we automatically destroy your credit card information as soon as it has been transfered to our bankers.
If you send us a photograph (or we take one of you), we will only use it on our web site after getting specific confirmation from you that we may do so. We only use your name with your permission.
Likewise, if you send us a letter or email, we will keep it completely confidential, unless you give us permission to publish any part of it.
These cookies are deleted when you complete a purchase. You can also delete them by going to the Cart, change any order quantities to zero and clicking "RECALCULATE", or by closing your browser. To ensure no one else can "peek into" your shopping cart on a shared computer, we recommend you empty the cart or close the browser when you have finished using it.
Our shopping cart software also gives you the option of saving your address information when you complete a sale, to avoid needing to reenter it when you buy again (we never save your credit card information). If you choose this option, a permanent cookie is saved on your computer with a coded number which identifies you to the shopping cart. We suggest you only use this option on a computer you control.
"Beacons" (sometimes known as "clear gifs") are tiny, normally transparent, images that websites place into emails, etc. Each beacon has a unique name or other characteristic, which associates it with you. When you read email which contains a beacon, the website can tell that you read the email.
We never use beacons.
Beacons and similar techniques are also used by advertisers to track your access to other sites' pages that they place in "click through" banner ads on even if you do not click on their ad.
We never allow these on our pages. All banner ads on our site are on the Links page and their images are on our site. No third party can tell that you have seen their ad on our site unless you actually click on it.
They are used by advertisers to present their wares, and by companies that attempt to keep your attention by preventing you from leaving their site. When used singly to present an advertisement, they can be irritating. When the pop up windows prevent you from going to another site, or where pop up windows themselves contain more pop ups and fill your screen with garbage, they effectively steal your time.
We never use pop up windows on our site. We avoid having links to sites with pop up windows. Some personal sites hosted on "free" servers may produce a single pop up window when you first enter the site; we generally allow links to these, unless they become excessive.
As third party web sites may change without our knowledge, especially as sites can change ownership and purpose, please contact our Web Master if you believe we have a link to an inappropriate site.
All web browsers maintain a history of your Internet activity; this is done to avoid reloading the same information from the Internet to improve browser speed, and to allow you to find pages you have been to before. If you share a computer with others, they may be able to tell where you have browsed and sometimes even what you have typed. You may be able to delete this history information depending on the web browser you are using.
In any case, there is unfortunately nothing we can do to prevent this information being accessed by other users of the computer.
Our mission is to produce satisfied customers who will refer us to their friends. If you ever have a problem with one of our products, please contact our Customer Relations Department and we will do our best to satisfy you.
We normally ship using USPS Priority Mail within the USA, and Airmail letter rate abroad. We charge a flat rate of $6.95 for shipping.
Priority Mail normally arrives within two days (excluding Sundays and Government holidays), but this is not guaranteed. Priority Mail provides us with proof of delivery, but does not allow us to track the package. As Priority Mail occasionally gets misdirected and eventually delivered, we cannot consider a package lost until 2 weeks after shipping. We will replace a Priority Mail shipment that is undelivered after two weeks free of charge.
If you require delivery by a deadline, we will ship using Express Mail for an additional $15. Express Mail has guaranteed next day delivery for most locations (including Sundays and holidays) and packages are tracked from pickup to delivery.
If an Express Mail shipment is not delivered and cannot be traced, we will replace the shipment directly. Please note that for our custom designs, replacing the order may take a day or two.
The nature of our products means that we have images of non-explicit nudity on our site. Our site is therefore intended for mature audiences. We do not attempt to define maturity in terms of age, although some legal jurisdictions do so. If your jurisdiction prohibits you from accessing our site, this is your responsibility. If children have access to your computer, you are responsible for what they access.
Our site is registered with the Internet Content Rating Association, which allows you to limit what pages you, or children you are responsible for, can access.
As many sites do not register with ICRA, you should always monitor your children's activity.
